This week I ran one of my favourite workshops – Find Your Edge – with experienced and smart teams from both Liberty Financial and National Mortgage Brokers.
You will see a lot of smiling in the video. We did laugh. Who wants to go to a boring, overly-corporate, stuffy workshop? Err, no thanks. Adults learn better when it’s fun.
And yet … it was also a tough day for my lovely participants. Really tough. I put them under pressure: pushing them, challenging them, posing difficult questions and getting them to think hard. A mix of serious self-reflection, combined with (often critical) feedback from others. A chance to step off the daily treadmill and bite down on some tasty food for thought.
The outcome? A fun yet highly productive, useful day, with each person stepping up to the plate when it came to discovering their Edge. What’s that, you ask? Well, it’s your “special something” … that unique set of qualities that separates you from the 8 billion other people on this planet. Your Edge; helping you to stand out from the crowd, to do your best work, and live your best life. Everyone has one – what’s yours? And how do you apply it in the workplace to achieve better results?
