The world of work throws up stories like this every week. Which tickles me pink. I’m continually amazed by the decisions that some managers & leaders make.
These particular affected employees work in Retail. Most of us here work in Office World. Funny when you think that for us, the danger is spending too much time sitting down each day. All hail the Standing Desk.
Managing people at work isn’t hard. Provided you have the right attitude and training. Whilst I recognise (worker hat on) that we don’t always get what we want, I also appreciate (manager hat on) that what may look like small, inconsequential decisions can have a huge impact on staff, culture and your business. Choose wisely, dear managers.
Always two sides to a story. But this one could be a candidate for “Culture Buster of the Week”.
